I am Associate Professor of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame’s Keough School of Global Affairs, and I hold a concurrent appointment in Political Science. Before coming to Notre Dame in 2020, I was Associate Professor in the Political Economy of China at the University of Oxford between 2016-2020 and a China Public Policy Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Ash Center between 2014-2016. I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University and an A.B. in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University. My research examines the politics of urban and regional development, intergovernmental relations, and subnational diplomacy with a focus on China.
